Objectives –

The objective of the agreement is to support with services for preparation of full proposal document for the GEF-7 cycle “Conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity: Strengthening network of protected areas through advanced governance and management” project. The mentioned project seeks to support the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity through the implementation of activities both within and outside protected areas, including the application of advanced governance and management approaches to be scaled up in Azerbaijan’s protected area system.

Project Outputs:

  • Output 1: Full project document developed under guidance of international consultants involved by FAO to the PPG phase
  • Output 2: Co-finance letters from relevant counterparts
  • Output 3: Full set of maps to accompany each of the project’s target PAs and surrounding buffers
